It’s 2012 – Lets start something new.

Howdy folk! I have decided that in 2012 I wanted to add more of my personal life into my photography life. I read so many photography blogs and its all business in the front. I decided I am missing the “party in the back” and who better to write about my home-life than my beautiful girlfriend Mae. I am going to have her guest blogging on my website from now on making sure everyone knows about my family and how much fun we have besides just taking beautiful pictures of gorgeous bride & grooms!

Heres to 2012 and trying something new!!!! :)

Hi,
I am Mae- the better half of eric. He’s a night owl- Im an early bird. He likes coffee- I like tea. He’s my best friend and the father to our adorable daughter Grace.

I rejoined the workforce again at the beginning of December after an 8 week “baby moon”. Last week to were finally able to spend a nice, calm, quiet morning at home. We laid around in our PJs, cooked up some cinnamon rolls on the waffle iron and ventured up the bluffs in our backyard. We burned through a couple rolls of film and also captured some digital moments because who doesn’t love instant gratification?
Grace is changing every day. There hasn’t been a day since she was born that I didn’t snap a couple photos of her. It is so exciting being able to watch her grow everyday.

Here are some snapshots I took from that lovely day. I hope you enjoy them!

Until next time

Shayla & Cody | La Crosse Portrait Photographer

So this is my first ever winter shoot. I was a little intimidated at first but I have really taken a liking to other photographers posts in the previous years in winter. I had one of my previous couples, Shayla & Cody be my testers. I couldn’t be happier with how they turned out!

It was around 25 degrees out here in Wisconsin. If the weather stays like this I could do tons more… But I guarantee we won’t get that lucky.

hope you enjoy :) please leave me some comments!!!!

The people who make me look good.

I want to give HUGE shout outs to the two creatives who have gone above and beyond to helping me get everything ready for the website/logo.

First, Ross Bruggink (www.rossbruggink.com) he is a creative with Studio MPLS (www.studiompls.com) and seriously I could have not asked for a better person in charge of my brand. He is too good at what he does (thats a good thing for me.) Stop over to his site and let him know how amazing his work is!

Next, Sean Thompson (seanthompsoncreative.com). He was directed to me from my photography mentor, Gary Christenson over at Big Deal Branding (bigdealbranding.com) Sean has gone above and beyond my expectations. Anyone that can put up with all the small website nit-picks and corrections deserves to BIG thumbs up! Also all the questions I have about maintaining this bad boy. Touché my friend.

Please check both of these amazing companies out and have them make you look good for your next project/re-brand. (Brides, Ross does some pretty killer design/decoration work for weddings, You should check out all the details he did for his own recently…CLICK HERE TO CHECK IT OUT)

The new face of Carbon Copy Studios

I am proud to finally unveil what I have been working very hard on over the last few months. The new, cleaner, sleeker, absolutely gorgeous logo.

This logo is everything i want my business to portray. I am a huge fan of photography and weddings so it was a no brainer to incorporate those two principles into my logo.

The logo incorporates the two C’s of Carbon Copy into the infinity symbol for what a marriage stands for. Also making the infinity logo is the shutter logo for my camera.

I hope you enjoy the new and improved journey!
