Spent the afternoon with Kristine & Brian walking around La Crosse. We were very lucky the rain held off. (Spring is so sketchy if people have to travel for engagement shoots… stupid rain!) Everything turned out great and Kristine & Brian were a great sports.
We also did some family pictures of them that I will not be posting. Buttt if you look close in the photo set you may spot their daughter 
Hello fine ladies and gentlemen. Today my plan was to blog purely instagrams via my iPhone. Butttttt as we all know, the world sometimes has other plans for us. So many photography blogs that I frequent have been blogging the simplest things with their phones. Once I picked up my camera today I couldn’t put it down. This is a good thing after looking at it collecting dust on a shelf for the past few winter months. It’s easy to feel uninspired during those months. It’s a great feeling to want to pick the camera up and feel joy in photographing the simplest things in life. Today, that was my family.
Happy Easter! We started the day attending mass with my older brother and his wonderful fiancé. With no plans the rest of the day, we enjoyed the afternoon at a local camp ground in La Crosse. Enjoy the photos. PS….Isn’t Mae adorable??? 
It’s finally time. The talks and planning about shoots/weddings is coming to an end and the fun part is beginning. Here is a few from Jennifer & Cory’s engagement.
Winter is finally over and I feel like I can creatively come out of hibernation. Winter was spent with visioning and planning. I am very excited to announce some great news over at Carbon Copy Studios but for now you have to wait!
Today marks the day I finally get to dust off my camera and go outside and begin my 2012 weddings journey. I have my first engagement shoot of the year for my upcoming couples. In my off season I have been overwhelmed on the response from my previous weddings. That personally gets me amped to go out this year and continue to raise the bar personally and professionally.
So here we go, go outside and make it a great day. The earth is blossoming and so are things here at Carbon Copy Studios.

Howdy folk! I have decided that in 2012 I wanted to add more of my personal life into my photography life. I read so many photography blogs and its all business in the front. I decided I am missing the “party in the back” and who better to write about my home-life than my beautiful girlfriend Mae. I am going to have her guest blogging on my website from now on making sure everyone knows about my family and how much fun we have besides just taking beautiful pictures of gorgeous bride & grooms!

I am Mae- the better half of eric. He’s a night owl- Im an early bird. He likes coffee- I like tea. He’s my best friend and the father to our adorable daughter Grace.
I rejoined the workforce again at the beginning of December after an 8 week “baby moon”. Last week to were finally able to spend a nice, calm, quiet morning at home. We laid around in our PJs, cooked up some cinnamon rolls on the waffle iron and ventured up the bluffs in our backyard. We burned through a couple rolls of film and also captured some digital moments because who doesn’t love instant gratification?
Grace is changing every day. There hasn’t been a day since she was born that I didn’t snap a couple photos of her. It is so exciting being able to watch her grow everyday.

On 12.31 I brought The Party Booth for the Nuttleman Wedding in Barre Mills WI. They had a custom backdrop done for the event and it turned out pretty killer!

Happy Holidays from my family to yours!
So this is my first ever winter shoot. I was a little intimidated at first but I have really taken a liking to other photographers posts in the previous years in winter. I had one of my previous couples, Shayla & Cody be my testers. I couldn’t be happier with how they turned out!
It was around 25 degrees out here in Wisconsin. If the weather stays like this I could do tons more… But I guarantee we won’t get that lucky.
